Students will have the opportunity to earn 3 points extra credit each week by successfully answering the "Problem of the Week".  This Extra Credit problem is posted in the classroom.  These problems vary, and include brain teasers, logic problems, questions about money, Sudoku problems, etc.

To earn credit, a student's answer must SHOW THEIR WORK.  The student must communicate clearly how they arrived at their answer.  Student submissions are due by the end of class on Friday each week.

Problem of the Week :

Look for the first "POTW" of the 2008/2009 school year on Sept. 8th.  The POTW procedure is as follows:

• Worth 3 points
• SHOW YOUR WORK - you must communicate how you got the answer. Turning in an answer with no work showing your thinking will earn you no credit.
• Put proper heading on paper: Name, Date, Period
• Due in turn-in box by end of day, Friday
