Classroom Policies

Daily Requirements: (for a "10" participation grade....)

	Always bring a pen, sharpened pencil, and paper
	Reserve space in a 3-ringed binder to keep class notes, handouts and returned work. You may be sharing music folders with another Advanced Chorus member so don't plan on leaving personal items in the music files.
	A "Music Journal" (single subject theme book -- can be purchased from Ms Rapoza). In it we will record journal entries, s.q.u-i.l.t. entries, dictation, notes and practice records.
	Any assignment due for the day. I DO NOT RECORD SCORES FOR LATE WORK!!
	An ASB card. All music students will need to purchase an ASB card. The ASB pays for our league music fees and transportation for our large ensemble festival. You may purchase this from Ms Rapoza.

	I will treat you with respect so you will know how to treat me.
	You may do anything that does not cause problems for anyone (including yourself). If you are causing problems, I will ask you to stop it and find a workable solution. If you choose not to or can't solve the problems you cause, I will do something (please grant me the flexibility to deal with each special circumstance and each unique student specifically).
	If you feel that I have treated you unfairly, quietly let me know and we will talk later.
	I will gladly exchange the gum you chew in the music wing for a 2-point 101.
	I will assign each student music, a music folder and space in the classroom to keep them. I charge students who lose or mutilate music $3.00 per piece. Student who make un-erasable marks in the music will be charged $2.00 per piece. Replacement folders are 75 cents each.
	Feel free to bring WATER in a container with a sealable lid to drink during rehearsal. Plan on using the restroom on your own time as I will not allow students to leave during class.
