Hi Eighth Graders!

Having learned about all of you in my classes lately, there is some information you might want to know about me.        

* This is my tenth year at Beaver Lake.  Before coming here I was teaching 6th grade at Pine Lake.  I have also taught at Sunset, Discovery, and two different middle schools in the Shoreline District.

* I have two dogs;  both are Pomeranians - one named Bandit, the other is Kodi.

*  I have two daughters.  One works at Children's Hospital in Seattle in the ED and the youngest is attending Nursing School at Washington State University in Spokane, WA.   GO COUGS!

*  My favorite activities are traveling- I have been to Mexico, Canada, Europe, New Zealand and the Caribbean.  I love reading a good book while cuddling with my dogs. 

*  I also have a fondness for pigs.  There is a special story behind this that I would be happy to share with you - just ask me sometime. 

*  My favorite foods are very, dark chocolate, lobster tail with lots of melted butter, and I like Starbuck's soy lattes. 

*This is my 29th year of teaching.  I love kids and I love to see them learn responsibility and self- empowerment.  If it seems as though I am strict... I am. I take my job very seriously.  I want you to be ready to move on to the next step after leaving my classroom.  Feel free to talk to me about concerns you are having.  I like parents, but I like students more!! :-)
