Hi Seventh Graders! Having learned about all of you in my classes lately, there is some information you might want to know about me. * This is my eighth year at Beaver Lake. Before coming here I was teaching 6th grade at Pine Lake. I have also taught at Sunset, Discovery, and two different middle schools in the Shoreline District. * I have two dogs; a Sheltie named Toby, and a Pomeranian named Bandit. * I have two daughters. One works at Children's Hospital in Seattle in the ED and the youngest is studying abroad in Australia until November and then hopes to enter Nursing School at Washington State University in Spokane, WA. GO COUGS! * My favorite activities are traveling- I have been to Mexico, Canada, Europe, New Zealand and the Caribbean. I also enjoy playing golf with Mrs. Bach whenever I can. I love reading a good book while cuddling with my dog. * I also have a fondness for pigs. There is a special story behind this that I would be happy to share with you - just ask me sometime. * My favorite foods are very, dark chocolate, lobster tail with lots of melted butter, and I like Starbuck's soy lattes. *This is my 27th year of teaching. I love kids and I love to see them learn responsibility and self- empowerment. If it seems as though I am strict... I am. I take my job very seriously. I want you to be ready to move on to the next step after leaving my classroom. Feel free to talk to me about concerns you are having. I like parents, but I like students more!! :-) |
