Metals
/ Transportation Tech. 7/8
This course in
Metals / Transportation will include the areas of transportation design,
drafting, safety, sheet metal developments,
soldering, machine tool, foundry, oxy-acetylene
welding/brazing and metal finishing.
The student will design & build a mode of transportation
using the
metalwork techniques listed above.
A unit on magnetic levitation as an alternate mode of transportation will
also be included in the curriculum.
This is a lab class and good attendance is a must in order to complete
your project. The Lab will be open after school occasionally for students that fall behind.
Week 1-3

Week 6-10
- open lab for construction of project / selected topics / metal finishing
Week 11-12

* Enter
the room in an orderly manner. Be on time!
* Go directly to your assigned seat and wait for roll and instructions.
* Treat everyone in the room with respect.
* Display pride in your written work as well as your projects. * Always think SAFETY!
* Treat the room, tools and equipment with care.
* Keep the room and lab clean, neat and tidy.

teacher will dismiss you after the lab is clean. Lab
Fee A lab fee of $18.00 is required to cover the costs of the materials being used. Make checks payable to BLMS and bring it to the bookkeeper.
