Select a district.
Complete Calculation #1. The
sales probability indicates the number of pizzas per day that are purchased in
that district.

Select a pizza type and find your monthly earnings. For this project, a month will be 28 days

Select a truck type.
Calculate the number of trucks needed per day. Your shop is open for 12 hours (

Use paper or
cardboard to make a full-sized model of the pizza you chose to sell. Be creative and use color. The diameter of your model must be accurate
to within 1/2".

Use graph paper and
graph the productivity equations (these should be linear) for you and your
employees on one set of Cartesian coordinates.
Be sure to label the lines and the axes.
Title your graph. Write a
statement about the relationship between the slope of the lines and how
productive the employees are.

You have consulted
an advertising agency to help maximize your profits. They have provided you with a quadratic
equation y = -.000032x2 +
.16x + 0 where y is equal to the number of pizzas sold, and x is equal to
the advertising dollars spent. Graph the
quadratic on graph paper using any means you wish. Identify the intercepts and the vertex and
explain what they mean relative to the problem.
How much should you spend? Is
this a good investment? Justify your
answer.

Make a title page
for your proposal complete with a name for your company and a logo. Be sure to include your name and/or the name
of your partner(s). Put your work in
order as outlined on the grading rubric.
Bind your proposal (not the cardboard pizza) and submit it by the beginning of your class period on May
19th. If you or your family will be out of town, then please turn your work
in early. If you are ill on the 19th,
then a family member must deliver your work to school.
Late work
will result in a loss of 20% of the project grade!!
