Welcome to 8th Grade Humanities Your 8th grade year is an exciting and important time and I am thrilled to be here to experience it with you. I'm looking forward to my second year being a Bulldog! Below is information regarding:
Classroom Expectations: This classroom is a community that is rooted in three basic principles, BE RESPECTFUL, BE RESPONSIBLE, and BE SUCCESSFUL. To help us achieve these goals, here is a list of classroom expectations:
We all must have appropriate sense of humor! Do your best and have fun!!!!!!!!!!!! Homework: There will be homework most evenings. Homework is reviewed daily and is written on the white board in class. You are responsible for writing in you planner.
Absences: If you are absent from class, it is your
responsibility to determine what assignments you missed by looking at the
Homework Buddy Wall which is located next
to the calendar in the classroom.
If you do not understand an assignment after you have followed the instructions
on the Homework Buddy sheet, then they should set up a time to meet with me to
discuss the assignment further. You have one day for every day you are absent to get work turned in. This does not include major projects, which need to be turned in on there assigned due dates, NO EXCEPTIONS! If you miss a test then it becomes your responsibility to see me and set up a time to make-up the test. It
is your responsibility to turn in work on time and make arrangements with me to
make up a quiz or exam. (For
more information on absences, see the “Welcome Back to BLMS” Humanities
packet given at the beginning of the year.) |
