I. Welcome and Introductions:
Everyone introduced themselves and we welcomed new parent members Mary Fischer including one who was not able to attend until next month, Kishi Malhotra.
Josh Almy reviewed last year’s Site Council and what we accomplished.
· The impact we have had on the entire Issaquah School district.
· Cross walk in front of school flashers on the ground.
· Blinking cross walk by Klahanie entrance.
· $60,000 from the city of Sammamish for 32nd St improvements
· Nutrition policy
No pop, healthier food served at lunches, some junk food taken away
· Coaching formula changed because of high participant numbers
II. By-Laws:
The By-laws were read and moved by Josh Almy to be accepted, seconded by Chris Santos.
III. Elect a Chairperson
It was moved and agreed on that Josh Almy, principal, would be our chairperson.
Also a note taker is needed to type up and 1) send to group and 2) send to Jane Tull @ Admin.
· Janine Kotan volunteered. Anne Rackers McFarland will take notes for this first meeting.
IV. Snack and Drink Roster
Snack and drink roster was sent around and filled out for the year.
V. ASB Update
ASB gave an update on their various activities.
· Bubble Wrap @ Lunches, whom ever pops the most bubbles, wins – October 10
· Grade level parties for winning competition for the Magazine Drive. Mr. Lee for 6th, Ms. Wells for 7th and Ms. Ellis for 8.th October 22, 1st period
· 6th Grade Social on October 28
· Fall Sports Assembly, October 24, “Glad to be a Dawg Day”
· Fridays seem to be Skyline Spirit Days – moving them to Thursdays.
· Holiday Drive, December 2. Goal is to collect 1,000 cans per lunch for the Food Bank. Possible gift idea for families might be gift cards instead of ‘gifts.’

VI. Fund Raiser
(Josh Almy introduced the subject and Chris Santos has a proposal.)
Chris Santos is going to contact finance at central office and see if there are any options in raising our ASB fees if parents thought that was a better way to go and would support it. This may not be an option, but it doesn’t hurt to ask.
